This 15 min presentation introduces the notion of gene regulation to explain the morphological differences between animals.
The presentation :
The animal world is full of different shapes and forms : how can we explain those differences ? Evo-devo is the evolution domain which is directly adressing the evolutionary mechanisms allowing to explain how those different shapes appeared. This presentation examines some hypotheses and introduces the concept of gene regulation.
This presentation was given to several teachers workshops for high school teachers. It can also be used as an introduction for a student activity on gene regulation evolution.
